This is the first post after all of the holiday feels this last week
and the first time I could share it with my 2-year-old.
It's also a realization that there isn't any magical switch where I became an adult. It just happened.
So here I am, feeling like a kid, raising a kid.
Kinda wild.
Growing up, I heard a cool quote, but I need to find out the origin.
"If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything."
These days, I feel I'm seeing this play out more often online and with some of my friends.
*Tearing up* Same with me!
I think it was the only Anime mom and I bonded over.
Tenchi Muyo - The movie
AKA: Back to the Future in anime form.
When I struggle to write it's a reminder that I'm not paying attention.
Paying attention to:
-What's around me
-My thoughts
-My feelings
-What's happened
-What's happening
Going on autopilot to sleep, eat, work, and repeat dims that spark to write.
How do you keep your spark?
Figure this out about your spouse before you get married.
I agree with this.
Wife is the opposite.
Our current compromise is Apple Music Playlists
I feel like my 2-year-old needs a level of media literacy that is close to god-like.
Otherwise, he's going to go online and end up thinking he needs to earn Bitcoin to fuel his fix of Legos, Lovevery toys, and Cheerios.
