If putting on a suit makes you behave better, explain Donald Trump.

To me it does not matter who they are.
You, on the other hand, are a tribalist.
Your first response was giving a middle finger to the entire message of the good samaritan parable.
You are a tribalist.
So, you're not really your brother's keeper.
24.11.2025 21:10 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0What "hope"?
As in literally, where is "hope" in that article. I searched it and the word seems to have been removed, though the thumbnail image description includes it.
"rather than solely" is doing a lot of work there.
Mammoths of one sort or another lived during the man glaciation/deglaciation events of the Pleistocene.
Until humans over-hunted them.
Read the joint statement from myself, Senator Mark Kelly (D-AZ) and Representatives Jason Crow (D-CO-06), Chris Deluzio (D-PA-17), Maggie Goodlander (D-NH-02), and Chrissy Houlahan (D-PA-06):
20.11.2025 18:18 β π 1644 π 459 π¬ 60 π 22What about wars against Muslims?
What about wars against people of indigenous religious beliefs?
What about wars that Christians *commit* against others?
Yeah... whataboutism... is really, really of use here, to show how biased you are.
What about genocide against Muslims, and genocide against indigenous religious people?
Somehow, those don't count in your book.
Because of the wording.

This is the inherent problem of the UN: It was created to get nations to talk to each other, not shoot each other.
It may sometimes work to mitigate wars.
However, mitigating multi-generational AGW is not going to happen this way.

There is no "accuracy" in predicting the future. Only determine accuracy after the fact.
Sad to see Science mag pushing an article in which the concepts of accuracy, resolution, and precisions get mixed up.
Girls are being kidnapped in the US, by Trump's goons. Why aren't you worried about that?

Or for even a Peter and Paul making it to Rome.
Coincidentally, Dr. Ehrman's weekly podcast covers this subject:

In general, Rome did not persecute Christians, though Diocletian did.
Tacitus writes that Nero blamed the Christians, but not that Nero was wrong. Tacitus was a little boy at that time. Tacitus did write scathing remarks about the Christians. They were not good people.
Everyone finds a way to cope with death.
For Lennox it's engaging in a fantasy.
The challenge is connecting *any* of the Christian dogma to a historical Jesus.
Most of what people think of as "Christianity" emerged in the second century, in the Greco-Roman culture of the Roman Empire.
Any guy executed for insurrection c.30CE has little in common with today's Xtianity.
You're just afraid.
Afraid that someone will challenge you in your cult membership.
And then the southern Democrats who did not like integration moved to the GOP.

Reagan, GHWB, Trump - all ran with racism as part of their advertising strategies.
Know your history.

12.11.2025 21:12 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Historically, it were the Christians (no adjective added) who tried to erase history: destruction of books, temples, etc.
It started very early, in the 2nd century, though it didn't get real imperial power until Constantine.
Now do the Russian Orthodox Church endorsing Putin's war in Ukraine, which is killing orders of magnitude more Christians than any protest in Yumbe.
Or, do Israel killing Christians in Palestine, and Lebanon.
Well, that's the thing with something like Bsky: it is the modern-day version of the public square.
You never know who you'll run into, and what interactions you will have.
It's 22 episodes per season and is a 1990s show, so not every episode is about fascism. Much of it is about the meaning of life, religion, etc.
But, a significant story arc (covers half of the series at least) deals with a fascist government.
