Cambridge residents should be aware that local government is changing.
π§
All three models for a new Unitary Authority, will lead to Cllrs from outside the city being a majority.

What is happening to Greta is important. Not because Greta is famous but because it is a symbol of the intention of the people bringing genocide to Gaza.
π§
βObeying orders,β when you are committing genocide is no excuse. You are complicit.
π§
How complicit are we as we watch?
There is this word βParrhesia.β
π§
Itβs very apt when applied to politics. It involves a duty to be transparent, tell the whole truth, not hide anything.
π§
To me it ranks alongside the expression βWhat you donβt condemn you condone.β
π§
Itβs about speaking up to put your principles first.
Angela Rayner can you look again at RLG for Cambridge?
π§
According to current plans, Cambridge will soon move to a Unitary, controlled by Lib villages.
π§
Can you keep the successful Cambridge City Council so it acts as a satellite, like the City of London, within a wider unitary authority?
Keir Starmer would there be a benefit in No 10 having a greater link to the elected local councillors? Could they improve your reach?
For example, Cambridge, a key city for economic renewal, has just lost its Labour Mayor of Peterborough and Cambridgeshire to the Tories. This is a tragedy 4progress
That looks so special.
Power to you all.
The car is not King or Queen. Children, family, community first.
Here in Romsey, Cambridge we restricted a bridge to reduce traffic. It got over 72% support. Made everything safer for cyclists and walkers. So many noisy moaners.
Well done.

Well done @MillRoad4People for coming up with such fabulous ideas for Mill Rd.
Itβs time now for politicians to talk seriously with residents about making our road into the community area that will promote our shops and cafes.
Letβs get it done

Please Keir Starmer! Please, ttop arming the Israeli Government.
As Nasrine Malik says - βPoliticians want to normalise whatβs happening in Gaza. Our moral outrage wonβt let that happen.β
If our government are looking for a rational reason rather than a moral one to not arm Israel. Then it need look no further than the security warning from the head of βMuslim Worldβ that Gaza harms integration.

I am deeply concerned that Cambridge has yet to establish a position in talks arranging the development corporation and unitary authority.
I would like to see a public agenda drawn up for the city councilβs negotiating position.
The savings made by @uklabour.bsky.social in the Chancellorβs statement, amount to petty cash in the exchequer.
For individuals, they are traumatic.

Comrades say itβs wrong.
I say itβs wrong.

@uklabour.bsky.social should think very carefully about the people I believe it represents, before cutting benefits and jobs.
If money is needed to balance the books, Labour should look towards those who can best afford to pay. Like me.
π
Cambridge enjoys 150 nations, speaking 80 different languages and 40 different religions in its community.
Many of them live in Romsey, which I represent.
Talking and eating together at the Ifta was a delight. For me it was a very real sense of community
