Every year, Marvel and DC should subsidize a cartoonist emeritus to produce an annual, 12 issue take on the universe. Any characters they want, anything is on the table. One year and out.

These would be the best selling graphic novels from either every year.

But nothing could have prepared me for a toddler mimicking elementary school kids singing '6 7' and my wife and I looking at each other's faces simultaneously Dorian Graying

I'd like to retract any claims I made yesterday that "there's nothing better than October baseball with the Cubbies!" This is, in fact, the worst. It's possible/probable I was misquoted.

Will I ever find time to read the collected 1977 to 1980 Spider-Man newspaper strips by Stanly the Manly and John Romita?

Almost certainly not.

Will I Kickstart it anyway?

If comics sites said yes every time a garbage gambling site reached out and offered a guest post for $100, there'd actually be money in comics

Uh oh, I'm having a "read the My Marvelous Year podcast reviews to boost my self esteem" kind of morning!

It is very nice to hear nice things about creativity you put in the world.

I think that's my main comics lesson of last 2 years. FFS tell people when you like their work!

One of my favorite small moments in today's Absolute Wonder Woman #12 is @cleanlined.bsky.social's take on the Men-Fish's reaction to having water in the maze. These are just some of the delightful bonuses you get from working with a storyteller of Hayden's caliber. Pure delight.
