22.02.2025 02:52 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0If you go with colorwork choose something fairly basic and learn how to catch your floats first (unlike me, I had to frog). Also, although it may be frustrating, but frogging is part of knitting, so don’t be afraid of it. My first sweater was a tent at the end - should have gone down a needle size.
17.02.2025 03:04 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I’ve heard that Flax by Tincanknits and the Step by Step sweater (Florence Miller?) are good places to start, though I personally started with colorwork because I am Extra (not in a good way!) that was the Mountain Mist pattern also by Tincanknits, out of the book Strange Brew.
