Climate change is here and already causing death and destruction. We need to do all we can to cut emissions and adapt to the chaos.

I’m afraid I’ve heard enough to take this seriously - No.10 is thinking of abolishing ECO, the main source of funding for upgrading fuel poor homes.

There’s no way to sugar coat this: it would be a disaster.
And it would mean this government spending less on upgrading homes than the last one

I didn't want to be an intellectual spending my life in books and libraries without knowing what the hell is going on in the streets. Theory without practice is just as incomplete as practice without theory. The two have to go together.

Atmospheric CO2 was abt 313ppm. Now at 425ppm and climbing 2-3ppm per year. The thicker the blanket, the more heat is trapped, the more trouble we're in.

We're in a lot of trouble.

This is the way. I run my heat pump like this and there have been big savings over my old gas boiler so far.
