I use an air source heat pump, its definitely a great addition to a solar setup but even with its inherent efficiency it does drink power. Ive had no issues with it so far, but I have wondered if using it in conjunction with solar heating would be worth the effort.

Its pretty much the same as with anything they dont like. Rather than accept they have terrible ideals, they'd invent some organisation working specifically against them to explain why their worldview doesnt fit reality.

Its strange that in any labour-intensive or high-profile job we have laws about how long a person is allowed to work for, what training they need, how long they need to rest for, what employers need to do to ensure worker health etc.

Then we have media industries where worker health is fictional

Ok but I’ve been running around 10kw of solar and 20kwh of batteries running with my own home automation without a scrap of AI at all. I haven’t sipped from the grid since installing.

It’s not like running this stuff is hard or complex, just expensive up-front.

The problem is that we actually KNOW tech pretty well, we work with it everyday and we know how to bend it to our wills.

It’s because we know and love tech that we’re able to say when something is just shit and simply pushed out broken for monetary gain.

It’s funny when they accuse digital artists and game devs of being anti-tech because like…buddy, my guy, do you think we make these things with twigs and rocks? We’re all about the tech. Game dev is like a magnet industry for people who take it apart just to learn how it works, and then improve it
