One thing that irks me: people keep calling the folks on the streets in Minneapolis protestors. They are not generally there to protest, they are there to observe and document. This is the product of organizing and mutual aid. It is telling that these acts of citizenship are seen as protest!

The Republicans could not do this without the assistance of the Democrats. There is always enough Democrats to keep the money flowing. There are always enough Democrats to get the fascists in their chairs in committees and Congress. Always enough to shut down protests. They are a part of the engine.

Clear and clean, two things are true. One, accepting this responsibility, people have been fighting back against fascism and this particular future for ages in the US and despite their effort it obviously didn't stop this point from occurring.

Two is the Democrats knowingly stood in their way.
