The only other pro or semi-pro footballer in the men’s game to have married his husband that we know of is Robbie Rogers, who celebrated his wedding to Greg Berlanti after hanging up his boots in 2017.

Lejarraga and Rogers are part of a group of 28 gay or bi male players to have come out publicly.
