I have never gone from 60 to 0 with a franchise faster than GoT after that disastrous final season. Gave up on the books. Skipped HotD. But I gave this a shot and I’m SO GLAD I did. Wholesome and gruesome and very Westeros. The IP at its BEST IMO.

My favorite thing about Robert Duvall is he would show up in predictably subpar movies, but refused to deliver a lazy performance. He was just incapable of being bad. My favorite great role of his in an otherwise mid movie? Gone in 60 Seconds. “You break it, you buy it, pal!” RIP, legend.

Huge fan of when AI ads generate a fake person to enthusiastically sell me their product. Bonus points if they’re on a talk show that doesn’t exist, or a Ted Talk that never happened. Nothing says “you’ll love this” like when you can’t find or pay a real person to convince me to spend money.

It’s interesting because Vogel also did Kermit for Haunted Mansion and that performance was ROUGH, IMO. So he’s been clearly sharpening the role, which I appreciate. And he’s a good singer!

Seeing a lot of justified criticism of Matt Vogel’s attempt at Jim’s (strangely irreplaceable?) Kermit voice. While I agree it’s weird (he’s mostly ignoring the high tones when Kermit gets excited), his actual puppeteering is great! Lots of energy and nuance in his facial movement. Kudos, sir!
