The mother/daughter directing duo are now living in Aotearoa New Zealand on Special Ukraine Visas.
Two of the crew that made the film have since been killed by invading Russian forces while filming other projects.
Media who have covered the Russian invasion are not safe in Ukraine.
THE WAR OF THE CHIMERAS contains battle footage including from the Battle of Ilovasik, but at it's heart is a love story between two young people, and their country. (It's not gory, nor is it graphic. 6pm news shows more graphics images, however, it packs an emotional punch)
