If you do find time for gaming, the success of the SteamDeck is making it easier and easier to run most games on Linux by just turning on Proton in the Steam settings

You just won't be able to play stuff like League of Legends, which many would consider a pro instead of a con

However, if you rely on either Microsoft or Adobe software for your work flow, it isn't viable at all. Gaming has improved massively due to proton, but many live service games won't work due to anticheat (not the fault of Linux itself, but still true) 2/2

Depends a lot on your use cases. I use my laptop to write and watch shows, with a healthy dose of browsing the internet and mild experimentation into random topics. I've been using Linux for all of that for just about a year now. 1/?

I am so glad it's getting a good adaptation, LoTM really deserves it

The source material is huge and incredibly loved

I do recommend reading it as well but the adaptation seems to have a lot of love poured into it so far

Animation is top tier

I blame Crunchyroll, they mistranslate a lot of it and excluded end of episode extra content for no reason

Also the first 3 episodes are a bit rushed because of the popular "3 episode rule" but the rest of the season is said to have better pacing

Thay do have A LOT of material to adapt so yeah

It is so much more than that actually but it takes a bit to get to it

The original webnovel has over a 1000 chapters and millions of fans for good reason

Note: The original Crunchyroll translation gets a lot of things wrong which is my main pet peeve about it
