Well done!

This afternoon we played some mental maths games to help us practise our times tables. Some pupils also asked to create Multiple posters to help them recall the times table facts they find tricky to remember. We have worked so hard on our tables this term, I’m super impressed at the hard work!

This morning we used One Note to use our spelling strategies to help us spell our words.

We are working so hard on our mental maths. We have really developed in confidence with this concept this term. 💫

Today we were introduced to Short Reads. This is a non fiction text. We selected the title we wished to explore, read it and chose a task to complete on it. Ask us about creatures of the deep!

Today we discussed the importance of mental health. We tried different techniques to help us stay calm. We liked the guided meditation. We all felt very calm. 🙌🏼

Today we learned about types of energy that we use in every day appliances.

Today we explored lyrics from a song we will performing in the show. We identified the number of syllables some of the words contained.

Primary 6 will be using their iPads most of the day tomorrow. Please ask your child to ensure they have charged and packed theirs.

As the weather is becoming more unpredictable, we would be really grateful if pupils came to school prepared for all weathers with jackets.

We strive to have outdoor breaks and lunches as often as we can,jackets help to ensure your child is comfortable in colder weather.

Today we are learning our new spelling rules and sounds and analysing a song from our school show to complete a metalinguistics task.

This boy has impressed me a lot this week. His determination to try things independently and using his iPad perfectly to support and challenge his learning blew me away🤩.
Plus, he makes me smile a lot because he always has something funny to tell me. 🤭

These superstars are our Star Writers this week.
They wrote excellent recounts and they were a pleasure to read.

We used a translator to help us find French words then we constructed basic sentences in French.

We have had a big focus on handwriting since we began P6. We are working hard to ensure our letters are formed correctly to allow us to join them.
