The Great Hall, Chicago Union Station, in a black and white “noir” filter.
Every time I pass through Chicago Union Station, it feels like I’ve stepped into a black-and-white motion picture from the 1940s.
So good to visit Chicago again, even if it’s a layover. (And I’ll get to have another layover here on the way back.)

This means you’ll have fewer top physicians, nurses, and researchers in states where there are critical healthcare needs.
This is especially true in red states, where you’ll find hospitals in urban & rural areas operated by - guess what? - UNIVERSITIES!
This decision is incredibly stupid.

The Trump Administration’s move to “aggressively revoke visas for Chinese students” is as self-defeating as it is racist.
US universities already subject to research funding cuts will lose further top talent, as will our industries that benefit from them as graduates.
It’s another Trump own goal.

A portion of an email confirming that a paper written with University of South Carolina Ph.D. students Cindy Chen and Carrie Xiao has been accepted to the 2025 AEJMC Conference.
How’s this for my first post?
My research team and I will see you at #AEJMC25!
