Dragonbane: Trudvang Now Live on Kickstarter I've been waiting for this one! It's off to a huge start already.

Free League Publishing announced that the stand-alone tabletop role-playing game Dragonbane: Trudvang is now live on Kickstarter. The campaign reached full funding within 4 minutes of launch, surpassing its initial goal of $25,000 USD and passing $150,000 in 30 minutes.

Friday Flap: DungeonTubers and New GMs. I want you to be a Game Master for whatever system you choose at least once. Trust me, if you can play the game, running the game is just a step or two away. Please do not let DungeonTubers chase you away with the misguided notion that it is somehow too stressful or overly complicated.

We need to start treating Game Masters as a beloved and valuable resource again. Please do not let some overpaid DungeonTuber convince you that being a GM is too difficult or too stressful. You, too can be a GM for whatever system you choose. It's easier than it sounds.

The Goatsucker Oni aka the "Goni." This hideous abomination makes rare appearances in front of witnesses. Those who encounter it usually don't want to talk about the experience. This concludes the Oni Cryptid series.

Friday Feature: Silly TTRPG Arguments- Too Many Games. I can't believe I wrote three pages disputing the most preposterous notion I've ever heard in a DungeonTuber video and we're only a month into 2026.

If you say, "There are too many TTRPGs on the market." You're just plain wrong and that's gatekeeping. Dude, if your whole conclusion is "buy your stuff," or "just play D&D?" Please stop making videos about the rest of the hobby. There is no such thing as "Too Many TTRPGs."

WtFriday: Silly TTRPG Arguments, Cantrips. I can't believe someone on YouTube actually tried to explain how Cantrips, those little 0 Level spells in Dungeons & Dragons, would completely upend a fantasy world if they are free to cast.

Silly TTRPG Arguments: "Cantrips can ruin the fantasy world because in D&D 5E.2024 they're free to cast." I have some very simple fixes for this. I can't believe I'm covering this one, but it's so ridiculous I can't pass it up. Fair warning: I'm in full-on old Dungeon Master mode for this one.

Mid-Week Journey: DungeonTubing and You. I was overdue for this rant. It was supposed to drop over the weekend. Know your niche. Title, Thumbnail, Hook. Call to Action. Link to more YouTube videos. There, I saved someone a bunch of money.

Time to bark in the dark. I meant to post this over the weekend. Talking about TTRPG YouTube aka "DungeonTube." My most basic advice to DungeonTubers is go consult the "How-To-YouTube" niche. I do this sort of thing regularly. Today we look at a video by Alexa Saarenoja.

Continuing with our series of Oni Cryptids. Yes, regular cryptids are cool, but in a world with elves and dragons, how spooky is a regular cryptid. No, we need fangs and big demon energy. This one is an omen, or the beginning of the terrible tragedy.

Worldbuilding Wednesday: Is It Going to Continue? I'm toying with the idea of doing something else on Wednesdays. Does anyone out there really *need* worldbuilding advice, tips, tricks, and inserts?

I'm speculating that this series might not be benefitting a large portion of my audience or at all. I'm looking to see what else we can maybe do to make Wednesday more interesting. I think I'm starting to see why that one DungeonTuber gave up on worldbuilding advice.

DungeonTube Isn’t Dying. There was a video on the Dungeoncraft YouTube channel recently titled, "DungeonTube is Dying." NO. No it is not. To quote Flava Flave, "Don't believe the hype."

How many times have I said I don't begrudge people keeping the lights on, a roof overhead, and food on the table? Dungeons & Dragons (TableTop RolePlaying Game) YouTube isn't dying. Some people are crying foul because their numbers are down. The rest of us aren't going anywhere.

Site Update. Yes, I'm still around and kicking. I'm just not getting the amount of keyboard time I want to be seeing. Lots of little factors play into that. Plus there are the kittens.

Gates of Krystalia Review. Gates of Krystalia from Top Notch International is a masterpiece of a TTJRPG.

While Gates of Krystalia won't replace my beloved Dragonbane, it is one of the best TTJRPGs I've ever seen. Really any anime/manga JRPG for that matter. This game even gives D&D 5E.2024 a run for the money. Highly recommend checking it out.
