We must be able to make decisions about our own bodies & lives, without pressure or discrimination. At Oxfam, we uphold these universal human rights. That includes the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, asexual people & those with other gender or sexuality identities.

We all have the right to be safe, free from violence, fear & coercion. Queer & feminist movements have won some hard-fought progress, but now violence and threats against LGBTQIA+ people are rising.

None of us is safe till all of us are safe. #LGBTQIA+rights are human rights.

Our teams have been holding talanoa sessions in Fiji, bringing together our local & regional partners & staff. These conversations have centered on the big questions: How do we strengthen local partners, support communities facing climate change, & prepare for critical moments like COP30 & COP31?

We believe that everyone's rights matter - that includes LGBTQIA+ people, this month and every month. This June, we celebrate #Pride, and the right of all people to live in freedom, without fear, and to experience solidarity without exception 💚

Let's build a feminist economy based on care - not just profits. We need feminist solutions that put people and planet first 💚
