Lets not mince words. We are not moving toward authoritarianism, we have arrived, and Trump is unpacking.

I hear there is a special kind of black marker used to make redactions, it's totally opaque. I'll bet if you look at the stock of the company that makes these markers you will see a sudden increase in earning toward the beginning of 2025. Wish I had thought of this earlier-could have made a bundle.

Yes, they are fucking criminals, but only prepubescent ones.

Even if he is not in any of the videos (which I doubt, but for argument's sake) or directly implicated in actual rape of minors (again, unlikely) at the very least it will become clear that he knew exactly what was going on and never said a word, even after his supposed break-up with Epstein.

300,000 pages? I guess we better start reading. With crowd sourcing we could go over them all in a couple of weeks.

Not sure, but I think that was a joke. Not too funny, though the idea that Trump knows anything at all about Chinese folklore and legend did make me smile.

The press should address him, affectionately, as President Piggy, Or perhaps Your Swininess.

Your not laying the blame for Trump's vile comments on his victims, are you? Trump doesn't need "opportunities" to be offensive -- he creates those opportunities.

If nobody changes their vote then the veto, if issued, would be overturned. Moot. And it would look pretty ridiculous if all the republicans who voted essentially on Trump's order turned changed their vote when Trump vetoed it. Ridiculous, but all too possible in these ridiculous times.

That would be Trump's diapers.

And I am "very confident" that Mike Johnson is a moron. I'm actually surprised he admits to having read the discharge petition. After all, as he never tires of telling us, he's VERY busy doing important stuff.

The American people have to give politicians something to be scared of. Fortunately, that is something we can do at the ballot box. Votes are the only language they understand.

I think they do feel like soulless cowards, but don't look at those as negatives. Would you rather have soul or power over others? And dressed in the armour of power they have little need for courage,

Hypocrisy is a disease of the wealthy and powerful. Other symptoms are confabulation, greed, narcissism, and is frequently accompanied by sadism.

They might not have power over the folks above them in the hierarchy while still having lots of power over those below them, which is compensation. And there are other perks of office, aside from great tickets to sporting events, like insider information or opportunities to loot the treasury.

This reminds me of the story of a man visiting the circus who sees a stagehand unhappily shoveling elephant dung. The visitor says, "Ugh, that's a horrible job. Why don't you quit?"
The stagehand is shocked by the suggestion and says, "What? And leave show business?!"

That'll be awesome... if the sun doesn't rise over the a third-world America, or nuclear waste. If Trump doesn't finish the job of destroying all that is great about America.

17.11.2025 21:16 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I agree. As Trump's grip on America weakens I fear that he will panic and lash out with his totalitarian best. When he does, he might still have enough remaining support to prevail. He may be weak, but not weak enough. Hope I'm wrong.

Weren't the tariffs supposed to reduce or totally eliminate income tax? The tariffs would fund the government, courtesy of our trading partners who pay the tariffs. They don't, of course, tariffs are just another tax, paid for by consumers. $2K would wipe out all, or most of the tariff income.

17.11.2025 20:46 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Here's a $2,000 tip: only morons--mostly MAGA--vote for Trump. Not having Trump in the White House is worth far more than $2,000 per person.
I wonder how many people would donate 2K to rid America of Donald Trump? In the long term this donation would lead to far greater savings.

Unfortunately, that might not bother Trump one bit. Trump is just aching for a civil war, a war of vengance.

May this be the first of many arrests of ICE thugs. The gratification I feel in this arrest - finally! - is tempered by wondering how Trump is going to react. He'll make a stink, hurl threats and insults, issue bogus orders... all because he does not want to set a precedent.

I haven't given up yet, not by a long shot. Trump probably won't last until 2028 given his rapidly declining health. But the damage he has already done will be with us for a very long time.

I'm 71 and I don't expect to live to see the return of or Democracy, though I intend to try--either by living to 100 or somehow helping to bring Trump and MAGA down. Neither seems very likely.
