well it sortof is, but i'm saying what's been wild has been the scale of it and the people who got involved and how they got involved and how they went about being involved.

i get that you can be abrasive (frankly it's a quality i admire in a person if they are also principled and thoughtful)

honestly some of your bullets have hit me in ways, but being challenged like this is not supposed to always be a bad thing

it's been wild watching the scale of people constructing false narratives to discredit and ignore your complaints

(this is not a commentary on who you are replying to here)

It's ahistorical in a whole host of terrible ways. But it is kind of funny that it always comes from self identified super patriots, because I too imagine them as loyalists.

When The Wheels Start No i couldnt get new vocals lol. Enjoy this almost finished track. I plan on revising it later on.

Hello I made new music.

This is a high effort track I was working on.

All original from the composition to the sound design and mixing.

Please considering listening and sharing would mean a lot ot me.

very cool to hear from someone w/ knowledge on that part of it. I definitely find conlag interesting, I just don't feel I know enough to fully appreciate the work they've done here.

From my understanding, what is being demonstrated is that 41 tone equal temperament is well equipped to represent many just intonation intervals (there's also practical benefits for being in equal temp)

The music at it's core is based off just intonation (using integer ratios for your freq steps)

This is dense!

If the musicality and musical production wasn't so interesting I wouldn't still be trying to understand it

It's fun they constructed a language and phonetics but it's not my focus (there's also instrumental track and staff transcription videos for it)

I have a lot of respect for ordinary people (ex - in minny rn) actively resisting this. Got some real heroes out there.

I do listen to this on stream, but I'll make an exception to post it because

1. This song is kick ass
2. Host album is available free here satunast.bandcamp.com/album/exhume...

It's Tong Poo, it's legendary as fk. Ran into this "DJ Copy" version last year. Sounds great!

Rest in peace to "the professor" Ryuichi Sakimoto (composer and keyboardist on this).

This version claims to be a 2012 remix. I like the production of this version. Only the first half is essential, but the 2nd half is better than most "dance remixes" I've heard that were officially released in the 80s.

"hailed as being one of the first foundation beats of hip-hop"

There is a triangle in the drum beat!

select chords I hear: Cm11 (the main one), DbΔ9 (0:34), Bbm7sus4? (1:24), G+ (1:48)

The falling synth run and sax solo @ 3:45 are fantastic.

Since I don't listen to popular music on stream much anymore, I'm going to retrace and post some of my personal favorite discoveries here.

This is as much for myself as anything but I'll start with a selection of upbeat stuff for new years eve.

What a sick day today. The one and only @zoasterino.bsky.social came over to my place today to trade BOTH of my PVMs for some really valuable PS1 games, a SNES, 2 Super Famicom controllers, and an N64 Expansion Pak. Was awesome having @tylen0l.bsky.social here to hang as well!

that you feel this way inspires me to be a good and better person more than most things in life do

the event was shorter than i'd have liked ideally, but definitely a life highlight for me, thanks again to you and your household for hosting us

I don't think there needs to be a personal motive. He just clearly hated hack work.

I've been enjoying PBS digital studios educational content for years. Didn't realize they had a subscription service. For me this is the easiest sell ever, especially considering the circumstances.

Well said. If something is really bothering me badly it can invade the peacefulness of being out there, but this definitely does mirror my experience. I also find a lot of joy in learning more about the life and natural systems around me thru direct observation.

I just got some permethrin. I've been using picaridin and it's pretty good usually & if you are heavy with it although some of those scary mfers will still try. At one point I found a govt page with case reports based on county. There's some other bacteria stuff like i think spotted mountain fever?

God, I totally need to utilize more of that at this time of year. I should just pack a rag and some trunks.

For emergency backup water use as related to hiking I carry around some aquatabs now. I love the idea of the purification tab here for minimal size and weight, if it works for the situation.

the heat is really quite scary

twice this year i had a hard time standing up and showering without passing out b/c of heat exhaustion

once from yardwork once from a hike

and neither was the recent hike, i doused myself with icewater and mtn streams enough to avoid anything too bad. still scary!

I still experienced some heat exhaustion and was a little worried half way in when I began to feel nauseous.

It's been an enjoyable journey so far, and I'm pleased with my decision to do this. My personal experience is that a gym has never motivated me as much as exploring the outdoors has.

Early this month I retraced my initial "death march" and went a little beyond it. 13 miles and 2800 ft up/down in 100 degree heat index.

Being more prepared, I went from 10 tick bites to 0. 3 leg cramps during to only 1 foot cramp afterwards. Running out of water and food to having plenty.
