Tumblr wants to charge me for a custom domain, AND I have to use their DNS to do so. Lovely.

I wonder if they considered that people with the technical skills to register a domain name and configure DNS probably also have the skills to host their own blog?

I can't think of a reason that pickles couldn't be made using alcohol honestly.

The lack of loyalty a lot of HR influencers (unfortunately a thing that exists) complain about is a direct result of their treatment of employees as easily disposable labour.

It is impossible to maintain the all too important institutional knowledge at tech companies without that loyalty.

There are so many problems in HR and recruitment in tech right now. There needs to be a major shift in strategy in order to correct the problems we are seeing.

Everyone wants to make cuts everywhere and we live in a world where there is no longer any job security.
