Mid-February and it’s mild outdoors. We can actually enjoy sitting on the back porch and spending some time with pups, Atlas & Ullr, and two of our cats, Cecilia and her son, Quentin.

On Valentine’s Day, 2015 , I came home from the grocery store, opened up a bag of barbecue potato chips and found this. It’s always been a mystery. I can’t believe I didn’t preserve it, but I ate it instead!

Spotted two White-tail deer foraging in last year’s soybean field west of the barnyard. My husband @clarkrogers.bsky.social decided to experiment with his little video camera.

I was outside doing the morning farm chores. It was 12 degrees but sunny. Being back inside the warm house has got me feeling drowsy.

Even with the extreme cold temperatures, these February days are getting longer. More light equals more egg production. We are getting about a dozen and a half eggs per week from our little flock. I’m going to boil some to have available for lunches and snacks.

Jeep Wrangler, “Marigold” has been one of the best purchases I ever made. So nice to have a reliable, 4-wheel drive vehicle during a snowstorm out here on the farm.
