As a person of trans experience, I can kinda measure how far I’ve come along by the number of white dudes - and it’s almost always white dudes - who have dismissed my expertise in anything out of hand, even when I’m not putting much if any effort in presenting.

There’s not really a lot to it. My wife has a quart or so of various berries and a small bundle of peppers every day in her lunch, and the rest end up as breakfast and snacks for me and our kiddo. Wash everything in baking soda water, rinse, dry, put in containers with a paper towel at the bottom!

Fruit and veggies for the week are serious business in this house.
When I prayed for years to not wake up in the morning because I was so obviously evil and wrong and it never happened. Then again, even if I had the words to tell my family I was trans back then, I would have been kicked out at best. Knew my family was unsafe to talk about those things at age 3 😔
