#BREAKING 🚨 Anthony Albanese has confirmed Australia recognises the State of Palestine, effective from today

The PM says the establishment of diplomatic relations and opening of embassies will be now considered, and Hamas "must have no role in Palestine"

Hate seeing a new green drink in a coffee shop only to discover it’s pistachio and not mint 😔

A bob-tail lizard on a bike path with some leaves scattered around. A bob-tail lizard has reached the edge of the bike path and is almost on the safer bush lane

Oh hey little guy, you don’t belong on the bike path!

In cases like this, voting 1 Greens and progressive independents can actually turn the tide. Put Lab and LNP last. The only wasted vote is one that you don’t cast

Hear hear! Preference deals only affect what’s written on how to vote cards. You control where your vote goes! #auspol

Honest Government Ad | Preferential Voting YouTube video by thejuicemedia

Just a reminder … Australian preferential voting allows you to choose who gets your vote should your first preference not be successful.

Make your vote count, don’t vote for the same old shit.

Do you think the Greens in the US is the same party as the Greens in Australia?

It’s incredible to me how many people don’t know that the nazis started with disabled people.

They tested their extermination plan on us…. Because by and large no one cares what happens to disabled people.

When we tell you that leaving us by the wayside is dangerous, we really mean it.

I did not do a great job at my first attempt of astrophotography. I clearly will need more practice.

We’re doing astro-photography and just had some shots spoiled by starlink. I counted 19 but there might have been some I missed.
Fuck musk.

Just went to a panel about the astrophysics of hyrule, presented by an astrophysicist. We determined that hyrule is infinitely big and cosmically locked. Also the blood moon is caused by the moon and earth passing through a scary cloud

I’m spending the weekend at #GenghisCon. You can expect to hear some very geeky things from over the weekend.

This evening I spent an hour and a half learning how I can use my phone and a shitty 200¥ tripod for amazing astrophotography. Tomorrow I’m gonna try it out! Hopefully the clouds behave

Labor refused to negotiate on housing. The greens won an extra 3bn for social housing. Who is actually doing the blocking here?

There’s a long-running narrative in this country that the greens refuse to work with labor and are obstructionist. Yet it’s labor that consistently refuse to come to the table, deliberately blackballing the greens to work with the LNP. Who’s really the obstructionist party? #auspol

Is it antagonising to ask to negotiate before voting for policy? Is it antagonising to refuse to support bad policy? Is it antagonising to bargain in good faith and win an extra 3billion in funding for social housing only to have labor accuse you of being needlessly obstructionist?

Imagine what we could do if we taxed fossil fuel corps properly.
Dental and mental into Medicare
No more gap fees for GP visits
Building more social housing

This is what Labor and the Libs are taking when they allow fossil fuel companies to continue robbing Australia.

Voting in Australia is preferential. As long as you vote formally (I.e. number all boxes in order of preference) you cannot throw away your vote.

The choice doesn’t have to be one of the “big two”. We can have minority governments with actual balance and representation.
