Avalan lies on the cold ground of Garlemald. Her soul has been displaced into the soul of a Garlean soldier's body and she is weak from wounds she suffered trying to get back to herself. She thinks to herself, trying her best not to panic: "Ah...I feel so weak... Come on, stay awake. I need to stay conscious...have to get up! Get up! Zenos...! He's going to kill them!"

Unfortunately she begins to panic, thought emotion cannot be seen, as the body her soul now rests in has its face covered. Her thoughts rush into her head, jumbled and panicked. "Fuck! I can't move at all! No! I can't let this happen again...! Gods, they're going to die! W-what can I do...?"

Esteem appears, translucent above her. Its arms are crossed as it reprimands her. Esteem: "Hm. Even now, you are hesitant to call on me. Even when it would greatly benefit you."

Esteem looks down at Avalan's pathetic self. "Well, whether you like it or not, I'm here because of you. So what do you intend to do? Surely, you didn't call on me just to send me away?"
