50. Fortnite

I certainly get why this has been popular for almost a decade now, but the whole "explore a giant map while looking for action and you have to queue up all over again if you lose" premise isn't my cup of tea personally.

49. Chara VS Sonic.EXE | Nebula Theatre

Sprite episodes have been missing from Death Battle for an ungodly amount of time, so to see this reach their standard level of quality makes me happy to finally have that niche filled. Plus this being a new versus show makes me excited for what's to come!

10/10 Pokémon game

I’ll wait for the full episode to come out before I pass judgment, but the analysis so far is making me feel even more justified on this being the last straw for the returner over saturation.

"Rivers in the Desert" is legit one of the best boss themes ever.

I just want to put it out there that I would like a ban on the word "slop" and its usage to provide ineffable "critiques".

Read a book, improve your lexicon that way. Stop just regurgitating buzzwords from content creators with the knowledge of a potato and get your own opinions

48. Corpse Bride

The creativity in the humor was what stuck out to me the most in this movie, but I did also enjoy the story it had to tell too. Glad to finally watch this after only having seen bits and pieces of it previously.

47. Coraline

The foreshadowing to later events felt a bit too obvious at times during the first half or so, but other than that, yeah I really enjoyed this movie, and its overall concept. Plus the visuals were great at times too. Glad this was chosen to be a movie night in a friend's server.

For those that need context, #DeathBattle Season 7 had half of its episodes comprised of Marvel and/or DC characters, which also got repetitive, and it soured those two franchises on the show for me for a while, and now I feel the same about returners. I hope to god we get less of them next year.

Months ago, I did a thread talking about this very issue in regards to #DeathBattle, but now more than ever before, this needs to be called out. Returners are a cool novelty, but it gets very fatiguing if they're taking up half a season's worth.

46. Blade VS Buffy | DEATH BATTLE

Yeah this was peak. Easily the best live action episode, and up there as one of my personal favorites in the whole show. It's crazy what the standards for the show have become these days.

For those who need context, back in 2013, I was in another community where I participated in Survivor type stuff regularly. That time period isn't one I like reminiscing about, but it could be because I was very young at the time (12-13). I'm interested to see where Champions' Island goes though.

So Death Battle is doing Champions' Island, where fictional characters are split into teams, and we have to do challenges to keep them immune from elimination...

45. Pokémon Red and Blue

Finally got my hands on these games after god knows how long, and while they haven't aged the greatest, and FireRed and LeafGreen are objectively better ways to experience Kanto, there was just something about the experience of Gen 1 that I found decently charming.

That is why I'm making this thread because I'm genuinely confused what people are truly expecting when coming to my reaction videos. A reaction to the video in question is what they're getting, and what the titles entail. I just wanna know what the real issue is.

That's not to say I'm plugging my ears to criticism though because there has to be a point in here somewhere, right? Even if these videos are just us saying what comes to mind about the episode, I just wanna know if there's really something constructive beneath these comments.

I do these reaction videos as a way of preserving our reactions because of the fun we have doing them. We like being able to share that energy with the world, while also providing insight into our thoughts on the episode before I inevitably do the ranking video.

At some point, someone suggested pausing the video at multiple points, but that would break the flow of our enjoyment of the episode, especially since for those of us who are not hyper-analysts, the sessions would become unfun, which goes against why I host these watch parties in the first place.
