THE ROTROOT A polearm weapon. Its blade is a bone-white shade with antler-like marks engraved on it. A red ribbon hangs from the blade. The socket is composed of tendril-like roots, red eyes bulging from between them. The pole is composed of the same wood, and the butt ends in a similar mass of roots and eyes. A glaive made from the corrupt rotwood and the starlight itself. No forge was involved in its creation, only a pond and the open night sky. A delicate and complex act of war towards the god whose body you chose to desecrate. But all that is left in the sky are corpses, shining on with nothing behind them. Despite that, humanity has still forbidden wishing upon stars. "No risks", they say. You wonder what is watching through those eyes sometimes.

1 - cross section of a persimmon seed 2 - a sprout 3- a leafless persimmon tree bearing fruit 4 - a single persimmon 5 - a dairy cow isopod climbs onto the persimmon 6 - the isopod starts to eat the persimmon 7 - the isopod moves to a different part of the persimmon and keeps eating 8 - repeat of 7; new spot new monch 9 - the isopod is full and resting with the leaves of the persimmon next to it 10 - the isopod glows with golden light, awakened
