I finally finished my TBR challenge! With THE FAVORITES, which was absolutely unforgettable!

Gripping, intense emotion, I could NOT put down OR predict the plot, and the writing. Whole MFAs could be earned just analyzing the craft and structure in that book. *chef's kiss*

You're a gold mine! And you must be on the right track bc you just mentioned a ton of my favorites, and someone else recced Carley Fortune!

You guys. I went to The Materialists expecting a fun but shallow rich guy/poor guy rom-com. What I got was so much more.

The acting is nuanced & gravitational: impossible to look away from. And the characterization is confident, takes its time & is absolutely fascinating.
Something really fresh!

I started it but honestly it might be too weird for me? The magic wasn't grounded enough so it felt like...stuff...was just randomly happening whenever?

I only have THREE more books on my TBR challenge, and I'm thirsting after all the new releases that are waiting for me! Top fave new releases from Maggie Stiefvater, Annabel Monaghan, Katherine Center, Emily Henry...

What are you looking forward to reading this summer?

One more down on my TBR challenge: Not Another Love Song by Julie Soto. I really liked how she did most of the flirtation, foreplay and even some of the lovemaking through metaphors of musical collaborations. And yes, the cello scene was hot!
