She currently lives in a rent controlled cottage a mile from the Santa Barbara harbor, but in the future I see her settling with her high school sweetheart on his family’s apiary in Yolo County #momswritersclub

My current MC is both in mourning and unexpectedly pregnant, so she’s wearing a mix of ill-fitting black clothes and sweaters pulled from her late father’s closet #momswritersclub

I try to make villains sympathetic in unexpected ways. Yes, he’s a liar, but he believes in his own lies. Or, yes, she’s obnoxious or rude, but her secrets have power #momswritersclub

I really don’t know if recognized this as a trope, but now that you point it out, I’m going to say no thanks, unless there is something unexpected or subversive about it #momswritersclub

The main character im currently writing probably would say aloud that she can’t stand them but then she’d secretly drink one or two a month. Especially in mourning #momswritersclub

Turns out Covid still sucks five years in

So many more distractions in my kids’ lives. Both my husband and I work in education (he’s a teacher and I’m a university editor) so our work ramps up too. Weirdly that makes me more productive bc I treasure my fiction time! #momswritersclub
