After wasting yet another Saturday afternoon for the third week in a row on yet another of my systems with a Tumbleweed package update issue, I have finally installed #NixOS on my daily driver laptop. I've decided to just jump in blind. I used the graphical installer and I'm building my config.

So I gave a talk at #bsidescalgary yesterday, sharing some random thoughts on implementing #zerotrust in OT. Apparently folks found this interesting because it was standing room only. I was ready for pitchforks and torches. I'm going to continue working on this idea; live demo next time.

@liberalca.bsky.social I wanted to reach out because we tried to order a lawn sign and we got an email from a random Yahoo email address asking for our address despite having provided it in the lawn sign request form. If this is truly a volunteer, they should have liberal.ca email addresses.
