Her practice is in jeopardy because cosmetic procedures don’t cover her bills;She’s spoken of emptying her 401k to prop her center

Dr Elisabeth Potter who was dropped by multiple insurances because she posted a video of a peer to peer review call from UHC documenting that, in fact, the ‘peer’ she was talking to was not a breast reconstruction specialist and had never done the procedure he was denying.

She does reconstruction surgery for breast cancer and specializes in a procedure that reduces lymphedema. I would argue that she does more to enhance the quality of someone’s life than a coffee shop. Cosmetic surgery is not just facelifts. It can be treating burn victims, congenital deformities

Because she is standing up for her patients. People donate to save their neighborhood coffee shop or their local knitting store, also privately owned.
