It’s just people trying to rinse all your money on chairs, gardening equipment, burglar response (oh there’s a man in your house, I’ll trigger the smoke!), and then making you feel like a burden so hurry up and make your will (cost) and die (funeral costs). Flippin’ ‘eck!

When was the last time you had to watch TV? No pause facility, no apps? Having to watch the ad breaks? It’s been soooo long for me that I hadn’t realised quite how awful it is. Finally: AI cannot do your job, but an AI salesman can 100% convince your boss to fire you and replace you with an AI that can't do your job, and when the bubble bursts, the money-hemorrhaging "foundation models" will be shut off and we'll lose the AI that can't do your job, and you will be long gone, retrained or retired or "discouraged" and out of the labor market, and no one will do your job. AI is the asbestos we are shoveling into the walls of our society and our descendants will be digging it out for generations:

Every year I lament the lack of something like this here where I live. Cambridgeshire is nice but boring as hell. Work on a cultural strategy got shelved by the new mayor of the combined authority which is a mistake. The new focus is heritage and tourism. Without supporting culture, that won’t work.

Ship’s log. We may have inadvertently hit upon a way to pull grandma away from MAGA! Grow a Garden! It’s a Roblox game the kids love, and grandma has joined in on her iPad and is now ADDICTED! So much so she is no longer reading her Truth Social or hanging on MAGA forums!
