This is the sort of commitment to free Lego that I like to see.

While the article is literally right that the word “diversity” doesn’t appear, page 7 celebrates inclusivity improvements in the sets themselves and page 13 is dedicated to having an inclusive working environment and improvements made there.

The tone certainly hasn’t changed, even if one word has.

Today isn’t the most exciting New Lego Day…But this set commemorating Hulk’s decision that the best solution to Thanos is to drive a customised monster truck directly at him, but with Hulk acknowledging health and safety concerns so putting on a crash helmet is one of the best things ever.

Some of the pets/animals are already quite Pokémon if you blur your eyes a bit. You wouldn’t need to be a master builder to imagine a MOC of Wooloo based on the Easter Lamb for a start…Lay a Goldfish on its side for Magikarp…Etc.

I didn’t really think about Brickheadz, which is extremely silly as I’m very much building a collection of them…Sets of three evolutions for the original starters would be cool if they work. But the actual humans would suit Brickheadz really well, similar style already.

It's good they've found a new way to print money...New themes for Fortnite, Pokemon and Bluey in the space of a couple of years is *ridiculous*.

We probably always knew it would happen at some point, didn't we? I'm hoping for sets a little like the Lego Animal Crossing range (WITH POKEMON MINIFIGURES) plus some big 18+ statue sets.

Not been around much as real life has been chaos (eg. house we rent being sold) but I’ll get it promoted a bit as I’m sure there are lots more accounts that need adding to it now!

I only have space for small builds (literally going to have to move the majority of my belongings around to fit those modulars in, if they're near enough complete)...But the closest I can get to advice is "make sure they have space to breathe"

Rebuild as in "from scratch" or "put back together from parts"? What is it?

I got first dibs at a bundle the other day with the Parking Garage, Detective Office and Treehouse in. Some bits new in bags, lots of dust and some bits so massively sundamaged they're unusable. That's keeping me quiet!

They're great for that. Not seen anything better than the army of frogs on the Bonsai Tree yet...

My only mild criticism is that for sets that are clearly going to be bought by people new to Lego, they're often quite complicated builds!

Yup…New Lego flowers every year from now on. Probably a poinsettia at Christmas. Maybe some lunar new year ones…Obviously they’re not seasonal for the summer so you’ll need some more then…

Singing along with Meatloaf while building Lego is clearly the best way to spend time. One day your 5 year old will manage to be that cool too, I’m sure…

Commiserations! But I can’t imagine how many applications they get for any job, you must be in the best tiny percentage to have made it into the process at all. Good work getting that far!

I’m going to break and buy the whole Animal Crossing range at some point, fully aware of that, and I bet it happens when they finally give us the museum. The world needs Lego Blathers!

This is such a great build, really looks fantastic. One of those creations where it almost feels like too much thought has gone into it. Just the fact the taxi matches Speed Champions alone is cool.

But I really, reallyyyy do not want to think about how much it would cost if they made it!

If you don’t mind used sets they’re easy to get for much less than that. They might be even cheaper still if you use bricklink and buy the pieces individually.

Or even look out for unbuilt bundles that have sets you like that need putting back together.

There’s always ways to get cool sets!

Lego do refer to their parts using that terminology, especially common in Technic parts.

It’s very silly.

It’s a generic term that applies to everything from carpentry to USB cables. It’s nothing specific to Lego and also nothing to do with reproduction or humans.

Doctor Doom is winning so far!

4 of the 10th Anniversary gold Ninjago figures is fun too, but they’ve gone away again until I get the pieces to build the bases. A small huddle of Lord of the Rings orcs, a couple of the rarer Lone Ranger figures.

But the backlog is vast. Lots more to find!

This story is ridiculous, to save you reading it. For a start it’s from years ago, but it’s Lego using generic terminology that mechanics, electricians etc. all use related to identifying connectors as “male” and “female”.

It’s nothing to do with Lego as a company, who are clearly not anti-LGBT.
