Well really at some point you just need to sit down and make stuff sometimes and honestly the play test oneshots I did with it were super fun so I know the idea works. I just need to get over some of the more fundamental flaws that came from a lack of direction.

Ok that makes a lot more sense. Though there is also a point to be made about bad taste criticism and people only hating the new design for being different from the old one.

There is a pretty big difference between people offering constructive criticism and sending death threats for making a character wear a different colored skirt

Thankfully the current version has created some ideas that will help to make things more interesting when introduced from the start rather than being there as bandaid balance fixes

3 of the classes don't have a real identity from one another. 1 is fundamentally broken and can't really be balanced and the stat system while cool doesn't really work how I wanted it to

Ok so after a lot of time and effort I have come to the conclusion that I need to tear down my ttrpg system and build it back up from scratch

oh trust me im kinda in the same boat with terraria and hollow knight myself (used to be able to with undertale but its been so long that ive forgotten a lot)

i hate ai as much as the next sane person but you really need a stronger argument than ur made up idea of it having “no soul” and “it cant even draw hands 😆” because the problem is deeper than that and those things aren’t even tangible truths

the real question is have you reached the critical point of becoming a walking wiki for any of these games (not gatekeeping but holy shit its crazy when you can just spout literally anything about a game you like on the spot without looking it up)

Yea I've been having a rough time with the hobby myself in recent years as well and I hate it cause I love the game. There just isn't a real way to play it in the social ways that I enjoy

not just that but decks can be explosive to with 1 in a million nut draw to win early. in theory you can with with thoricle before any other player can draw their card for turn, but the topdeck needed for that leaves it impractical at best

vivian is really just overall an adorable character and it always makes me happy to see art of her (also being able to just look at a character and scream "trans" affectionately at them is also cool)

Damn that super sucks to invest that much into a flop but it was fun while it lasted. Though at the same time a part of me wishes there was a way to keep these going even if it's just scaling them back.
