My favorite La Bayadere ending is the Bolshoi Theatre ver. Bc we really don't need to make up for smth that is not our fault. Sometimes, admitting the tragedy can truly share the same feelings with other survivors. That's why I prefer healing sorrow than unreal fairytales.
As Lacan explained, Desire=Demand-Need. What makes Solor so eager is not Nikiya but the reality he lost Nikiya. We regret smth so we want to make it up in dreams, like Inception. However, when he and the soul of Nikiya reunite, grief is over and the dream is over. Philosophical🥹
And that's so romantic and sorrowful🥹🥹Thanks to Deniss and his Team, we got the chance to see a Pas De Deux in a single fs program. OMG😭😭
Actually what Deniss performs here is Nikiya holding the clay pot in La Bayadere Act 1 : Solor saw her elegant dance and beauty, falling in love with her. Which means, in DV’s stsq here, Solor who is already in dreams of hallucinations, longing for Nikiya and her beauty🥹🥹
