Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I noticed it and I forgot about it. I wanted the issue addressed, but I also really wanted to learn how the community was going to respond to it.

Well, there was a lot of Scand/European grumbling from some of the crowd, but the admin liked my second idea of doing away with the question altogether (the first idea being a list of six or seven options). People can add it to their profiles if they like. Hoping this means he implements it soon.

I'm not sure where you got that idea. They take pains to ensure it's open to everyone.

I thanked and sacrificed the tokens of autumn decorating my altar, and now I'm assembling the representation of winter. It's cleaner now, less cluttered, much more intentional. I still don't know what I'm doing, but it feels like a better space, and not a demotion or compromise.

So I fumed for half a day, tried not to spill too much online. I've had two full nights of sleep. The giantess iterated finding another personal space, any setting that brings me peace.

I dismantled my altar, swept out all the ash, put the random assortment of crystals away.

I know I can commune with the giantess anywhere. There's no point in piling all my spiritual eggs in one basket. I hate the idea that I can't just wander wherever I like in my own damn neighborhood … but I guess women would know all about that, wouldn't they.

It was a personal injury to have the Glade taken from me in this way. I certainly don't feel safe down there anymore, with the eyes of conservative-voting, wealthy centrist democrats peering timidly from their windows, wondering who's going to drive their property values down.

What this represented, though, really disrupted me. Cops in my city have earned a reputation for bigotry and abuse: that's why we cleansed two precincts by flame.

Once a cop has you, they can make up a reason why, and they can cover up whatever happens to you next.

I reacted poorly to this. My tranquility was disturbed likely by concerned neighbors who called the police to check out my mischief. They found me standing by a stream, empty handed, unflinching in their spotlight, and they drove away.

I went down to the Giantess's Glade a couple nights ago, because no one would be there. It was very peaceful, nature moved around me despite the frigid cold, and I was able to open up and unload things that had been weighing me down.

Until the cops showed up.
