i love the vibe of the montreal canadiens
catching up on the habs-sens game, im on the canadiens bandwagon
i'm watching my first nhl game since before the olympics because i've been despairing about how the leafs are going (and i've had other things going on) - but this game is against the montreal canadiens and i like the canadiens
with a soggy festering sponge floating in it
the toronto ttc has these for real
whenever i see a regular street car matchbox model in the supermarket toy aisle, i buy it. i recently bought a matchbox honda civic and a toyota land cruiser, and then i gave them to my friends who own those types of cars
before i moved in, my landlord replaced the toilet cistern with a water-saving one (as per newish government regulations). however, the bowl is not a matching water-saver, so it takes two (or more) full-flushes to clear it
i'm not usually a big fan of this channel. i find that they are overly critical and negative about some of their train rides (for clicks? engagement?), and as a train person, i find it off putting
i'm riding this train! (but in the opposite direction)
i've just booked my final hotel stays for this trip. only three weeks away now!

i just checked the ÖBB app and saw this and my heart skipped a beat (it turns out that my train to berlin in a month’s time is now departing vienna at 22h38 instead of 22h10)
look i still find it amazing that when i was a child/early teenager a entry/mid-level pc was about $2k, and now an entry-mid-level pc is still about $2k.
imagine the pressure he’d be under to turn up to this and smile about it, as captain of the national team. you know, if for a second we could be generous and give him a momentary benefit of the doubt
surely the british government doesn’t have a database that contains everyone who may be eligible for british citizenship? if you are a uk-aus dual citizen and enter the uk on an australian passport, they’ll probably just treat you as a foreigner and you can’t claim any uk citizenship privileges

(also i’ve been to a bunch of other countries that claim to have unique coffee cultures too so maybe we need to check ourselves on that claim)
