finally opened my luggage to start going through these to see what they all smelled like and oh my god, i felt like my luggage was the opening to a perfume store lmao, it smelled so nice! and each one I’ve opened has me genuinely feeling like it’s a fave !!

Basically it’s like prepping yourself for future you to do things that make her happy. And your brain still getting the relief of seeing baby steps being done, comforted by knowing you made some progress and you feel a little more relaxed and gradually excited for when you’re ready to really start !

If I was to work on a cosplay piece, I’ll sit there for a bit after dinner just taping or cutting pieces in the same shapes for whenever I’m ready to actually put it together. Or in genshin, I don’t want to play, but I’ll just go around collecting materials for when I need them another day.

If it helps, what works for me is doing small repetitive things that gently add things to a project without having to think too much about it, using that effort to kind of jiggle your brain into seeing productivity and then gradually growing more excited for it as the days go by. For example, like—
