I can't be mad at granpa for this. He isn't personally doing much harm. He's just misguided and out of touch. I see this as similar to when devs go back to their old games and remaster/remake them worse, with smoothing filters on the pixels. You're 71, granpa. You did good, it's okay to retire.

As they go on about the latest tat they've fallen into, you have to just pat them on the back and say "that's nice granpa, that's nice".

I've noticed that a lot of older game developers are prone to fall for the allure of new technology, be it AI, NFTs, etc. They want to be 'with it', to be on the cutting edge, to be just as ground breaking as when they were young. But it only ends up giving them more granpa energy, funnily enough.

There's some pretty obvious tells in this one. I don't know if anyone else mentioned this, but a pretty good baseline tell is that these videos often have very static shots, perfectly framed cameras that does not move.
