Coming back after a break- hoping to share reflections from residency.
My favorite thing has been seeing people enjoy the neurological exam from giggling at the funny feeling of vibrating tuning fork on bones, "give me a big smile" turning into a genuine smile, or the pride at 3/3 delayed recall!

Anemia happens frequently in our aSAH patients.

These patients are at risk for delayed cerebral ischemia and other neurologic insults

It would seem having adequate oxygen to the brain tissue would be a good thing to prevent such injury.

But how much hgb is adequate?
