This is not necessarily prevention. It’s prediction. And prediction only leads to prevention if certain screening criteria are fulfilled including how good the prediction is & how effective the action is once you have the info. Otherwise there may be harms.
IMO this hasn’t been well thought through.

The emphasis on enhancing continuity of care is rightly identified in the NHS statement. Relationship-based care ensures improvement to outcomes, efficiency to the system & greater satisfaction for both professionals & women: importantly, evidence supporting other models of care is wholly lacking.

National inquiry into maternity care announced by Wes Streeting It will target the worst-performing trusts in England - and report back by the end of the year.

Some in the NHS say midwifery postnatal care for 10 days after birth is all that’s needed: not true. β€˜Better Births’ policy pledged care for 6 weeks minimum. But a crucial move will be to co-ordinate care from NHS, health visitors & GPs so no sick & desperate mother falls through the lethal gaps.

US Supreme Court won't let Trump withhold payment to foreign aid groups Chief Justice Roberts issued a temporary pause. Aid organizations said in a Supreme Court filing that they "would face extraordinary and irreversible harm if the funding freeze continues."

The US Supreme Court ruled 5-4 against Trump’s bid to withhold payments to foreign aid orgs for past work, forcing funds to be released to #USAID & State Department contractors

While damage has been done, it's a small but positive step for community orgs

Finland ends homelessness and provides shelter for all in need - scoop.me In Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Why? The country applies the "Housing First" concept agains homelessness.

β€œIn Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. Those affected receive a small apartment & counselling with no preconditions. 4 out of 5 people affected make their way back into a stable life. And all this is CHEAPER than accepting homelessness.”
