It depends on if Mayer makes the team out of camp. But if he does, you’ve got a very solid infield defense. I’d even say it’s good! And then the outfield with Roman, Rafaela and Wilyer is one of the best in baseball. We ain’t leading no league in errors.

I can’t tell if I want Caleb Durbin at second base because he’s short and Dustin Pedroia was short or if I just really liked Marcelo Mayer’s defense at third when Alex Bregman was hurt. Either way, fine with Durbin at either position.

Been watching a lot of the mic’d up content the Red Sox have put out. Group seems loose. Less business like. It’s a long season. Chemistry matters.

There is wayyyy too much smoke with the Red Sox offseason for there not to be some sort of eventual fire. That doesn’t have to mean Juan Soto, because it likely won’t. But I’d be shocked if they didn’t add something substantial.
