Red Sox were 7th in runs last year and that was with Bregman missing 50 games, Roman’s season starting late and ending early, and Devers getting traded two months in. Boston can be a top 10 offense in MLB in 2026. And that’s with the second best rotation in baseball and an improved infield defense.

Story’s arm is not what it was so that wouldn’t be wise.
It depends on if Mayer makes the team out of camp. But if he does, you’ve got a very solid infield defense. I’d even say it’s good! And then the outfield with Roman, Rafaela and Wilyer is one of the best in baseball. We ain’t leading no league in errors.

I can’t tell if I want Caleb Durbin at second base because he’s short and Dustin Pedroia was short or if I just really liked Marcelo Mayer’s defense at third when Alex Bregman was hurt. Either way, fine with Durbin at either position.
Been watching a lot of the mic’d up content the Red Sox have put out. Group seems loose. Less business like. It’s a long season. Chemistry matters.
