A grim reminder: these people will never be satisfied. There’s no point at which they will say “we’ve won, let’s enjoy life.” They will always be looking for someone else to punish, to revile, to dehumanize. They’re empty without that.

Can't recommend Glynn Stewart enough, he writes fairly prolifically, and his worlds are all different - different political systems, different problems facing them; generally all solved by ethical people being ethical no matter the cost. Which is a trope that warms my heart. And very anti-Ringo.
