A quirk of a low sample size: In the 3 months of #bloodbowl 3rd season edition, the most popular played race was Orcs. And they're pretty good, having the 5th highest win-rate. The best team *against* Orcs has been .... Halflings!
I finished my Casket of Souls. My Tomb Kings army is officially finished.
You could probably also imagine a fourth option alongside these, which is that mercenary/Dogs of War armies are a *far* more common sight in Bretonnia than is reflected in the game itself. One doesn't boast of hiring Tileans to do your fighting for you, but it happens...
Been watching a fair bit of Mordheim stuff recently, trying to get a sense of it - I dunno, I think I'd better be careful here or this could easily become a new money-sink for me!

The Hel Fenn Howlers' great start to the BBBL has come to a sharp end, as the Rainbow Raptors chewed them up and spit them out for a 2-0 win. Worse, Sparkplug (Flesh Golem, 1) will be missing next game as he gets stitched back together!

This Saturday just gone, I attended the BBBL Winter Classic! Tomb Kings are very different to my usual style of team, but my Lybaras Cobras did OK in the end - a perfectly statistical 1-1-1 ratio of results. Definitely a fun one!

They drag Pretti away from the woman he was attempting to help, and several agents wrestle him to the floor.
A second storming win for the Hel Fenn Howlers! With three touchdowns to one, the undead have seen off Skaven hopefuls "Man I Love Frogs" to claim all three points. More serious tests are on the horizon, however...

An authoritative 2-0 win against Da Savage Boyz is just the start to the Howlers' campaign that they'd want, although Spareleg (2, flesh golem) will be missing their next fixture due to injury.

A belated match report - played another half of the beautiful game we call Blood Bowl with @laurieoc.bsky.social. Really tapping into his competitive spirit, I feel - all according to plan, as far as getting him hooked goes...
"tyrannosaurus rex" is kinda one of the craziest called shots of all time if you think about it some dude in 1905 was like 'this was definitely the most badass dinosaur so I will name it as such' and 120 years of research and new discoveries keeps proving him right.
That said this trailer IS definitely less well done than TW:W. Still, can't have everything, eh?
Hmmmmmmmmm... on the one hand, not getting the same near-insane feeling of joy as with the original Total War: Warhammer, but on the other hand it does look cool!
It will be really interesting to see how creative assembly tackles 40k, it has to be so different from previous total war games, but i should still be able to establish trade with tyranids.
Finished my Tomb King to lead my army. Next up is the Liche Priest Hierophant on Bone Dragon.
