I think my position on immigration has evolved from feeling that massive reforms are needed to conviction that this is all irredeemable and the US government can't be trusted to run an immigration system, under Trump or any other president.
(But especially Trump.)

Still struggling with book discovery. Reading from reviewers like NYT best-of-date-range lists, and they are *very* hit or miss, like 50/50. I.e., just read The God of The Woods by Liz Moore, and while it was competently written and had good characters... no plot.
