Soul Reaver 1&2 Remaster (December)
I cannot recommend this games enough, they're both great and I was so happy when they announced the remasters. Now that we have a working port, you should take a couple of hours and play them both!

Soul Reaver 1&2 Remaster (December)

Black Mesa (December).
With so much turn based games finished, I wanted some old fashioned FPS to have a bit of variety. I never played Half Life before, wasn't expecting this ride, glad I played it!
Sea of Stars (December).
Hear me out, I started this game and I didn't like it, but the more I played, the more I fell in love with it! the music is absolutely one of the best things it has, had to get the secret ending too!
Yakuza Like a Dragon (December).
I was so afraid to not like this one, being the one that takes gameplay to turn based combat and with a new protagonist at that. But I was wrong, this is a solid Yakuza game, it has its problems like all of them, but its great!
Silent Hill 2 Remake (November).
You will never replicate the eerie aspects of the original, there's no way to do it right. BUT, this is as far as you can get imo, if you HAD to make a SH2 remake, this is the best you can get at. Great game!
FFXVI (November).
This is the one, my fav game of 2024. What a ride, if you haven't played it then you should!
PD: Soken you madlad!
FFVII Remake Intergrade (September).
Bought this while it was at 50% discount, wasn't expecting a lot from it, I was wrong. This game is good, it looks good, the combat is great, story so far works. I'm working my way to get all achievements, pleasant surprise!
Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory (August)
Revisiting old favorites, personally when people say MGS or Thief play like spy games I have to disagree, this right here is the quintessential spy game.
Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail (July <--this is a lie)
So this is the culprit of my great void of finished games during this year, damn you Yoshi-P! and your savage tiers!
Superliminal (April)
Really good premise, really short, start to finish in just about 3 hours, neat package.
Death Stranding (March).
Where do I even start with this one, it came through just as I was dealing with some really personal heavy emotional stuff. It helped a ton, I loved it. If you ever feel lonely or in need of reassurance, play this one.
PD: Kojima's Spotify Playlist rocks!
Hogwarts Legacy (March).
Not a lot to say about this one. Its really cute, specially if you've read the books or really like the first two movies. Combat is OK, the real deal was exploring Hogwarts itself!
Metro Exodus (March).
I've played them all at this point, and even tho I was afraid of this one being bad going full on Open World, It's my pleasure to confirm that this is in fact a Metro Game after all.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (February).
Already finished this once before my switch died, but I had to play it again in order to tackle Torna DLC. (fun fact is, I still don't play Torna lol), even if the game is hypersexualized as fuck, the story is solid and the combat is really good.
Yakuza 6: The Song of Life (January).
What a game, not gonna say anything, if you wanna try Yakuza you'll have to get through most of them to be here, and it will be worth the time.
Yakuza 5 Remastered (January)
On my pilgrimage to play all of the main Yakuza games, I think 5 may be one of the best in the series. Would I elaborate on that? no.
Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen (January).
Hear me out, this game is at the same time one of the WORST games i've played, and one of the BEST games i've ever had the pleasure to play. Ignore all the bad things.
Its the combat and DLC where you wanna look, its good, so good it makes the game good.
Bayonetta (January).
Even for the years it has, this has to be one of the coolest games i've played, combat feels great!
Just to get it somwhere outside of my checklist, i'll post the games i've played and finished during 2024! will prob do a ๐งต and a little commentary on each one bc I just noticed I can't put them all in a single post (2024 was a good year for playing games!)
