Ok look, the time frames just feel strange. Either All might defeated AFO before Aizawa attended, being around 20 and some change, to give the world recoverable time. OR Aizawa lived in the twilight years of AFO's "rule". It's curious to me.

Watching the Vigilantes series (MHA spin off) and got to a part depicting Aizawa/Erasure heads childhood with mic and cloud boy right? But this is all *before* one for all was defeated, meaning a demon king is still entirely active and the world *should* be ripped up and warring?

If it's hard to understand, what is shown in the manga is what happened. He didn't wake up off screen, he isn't secretly awake, he can't maintain the arm while asleep, there is no delay ever shown, and this isn't even like a debate.

You are literally just bringing headcanon into this.

Sure ok, so what happened in the manga? Because when you read it again you realize that something is wrong with your theory. It's literally impossible. Look man no hate but you seriously got this wrong, and there's no point in arguing about such a simple detail.

Absolutely none of that changes the fact that Naruto was knocked out when he was released, and the arm was not deactivated despite Naruto himself stating he wouldn't be able to hold it while asleep.

Why do you think they would point that out, then immediately break that rule.

That wouldn't be very uhh. Realistic. It would be pretty damn weird for things to appear one way with an entire rack of hidden meaning. I am PRETTY sure, that Naruto was just asleep. Call me crazy but what you see is what you get.

That could be the case, but team 7 regards Naruto being asleep with surprise since they went in expecting him to be awake due to Kawaki's arm.

It feels too purposeful to be an error to me. They made a rule, broke it, and never used it again. (That being Naruto can't turn on the arm while asleep)

The reason why this is important is because Naruto drops a specific line that he won't be able to hold the connection to the arm if he falls asleep. Which is then contradicted in the referenced chapter. It's clear foreshadowing for them to break that exact rule. It's never used at any other point.
