I streamed Deltarune Chapter 1-2 here back when Ch2 first came out and I fully intend to finish that journey with you all, in any case. and I'll probably be back to play some more chill games sooner rather than later, even if it's not scheduled - even if it's just a random event - it'll happen.

at some point, that kind of changed. I'm no burnout expert, but I can definitely tell you that my motivation to stream weekly is basically dead in the water. that kind of drive just isn't in me anymore, and I don't know if it ever will be again. but occasional hangout streams? yeah, I can do that.

the burnout is extremely real, though. all cards on the table, when I started this gig I was devastatingly lonely on a daily basis, living by myself for the first time ever in a dark apartment. it was mine, but it wasn't a comfort. streaming made it easier to bear it.

gonna be streaming for the first time in a long time very soon - 15 minutes or so - and ngl it's kind of nerve-wracking? I hope it's like riding a bike, there's no issues and it's just a good time.

Oh my gosh, this is fantastic. The author picked a really fun way to talk about the tension between the rules of the game and what we "want" to happen.

We oft think of the latter half as "RP", but it's the collision of the two that makes it feel meaningful.

It's actually a great RPG because the rules don't get in the way of the roleplay. Just make sure your character wants to slay dragons and would lay down their life to defend their empress and you're good to go.

Making a soccer hack where the teams play as armies sent to slay the opposing side's dragon-empress by vying for control over an ancient spherical dragon-slaying artifact which - for bullshit magic reasons - must not be touched by mortal hands.
