A galaxy rages with war —- A Jed Padawan becomes a Knight. And so, a journey to the end begins.

The Hangar fills with Clones and Tankers.

Skywalker steps forth with solid purpose, his Jedi robe sways with each mastered step. Metallic hand curling into a fist of anticipation under the length of his sleeve. Before long, he joins Kenobi’s side. “Ready, Master?”

There is pride. There is pride in the idea of doing right, of fighting against the wrong in the world. Of protecting and serving.

Then there is pride in friendship —- when your Master, who for so long treated you as child, began to see you as something more.

Only the thought of the war, of course.

He’s around.

Cleared his throat. Straightened his shoulders - - flattening his robes with his robotic hand.

“If it’s alright with you.”

Anakin’s eyes lit up. “Master!” He said with an almost overly excited tone. “You must take me with you. I - - I can help. I. .” Don’t want to be stuck on Coruscant with Master Windu for much longer.

Skywalker —-

Hm.

“I won’t let you down, Master.”

Skywalker said with a nod, an attempt to prove that he wasn’t the boy that he was just four months ago. Arguing and dismissive, maybe still head strong - - but cautious and patient. A small bit he had learned from Kenobi. “Where are you off to?”

“Well.” Anakin couldn’t hide it anymore. “The ceremony, Master. Padawans being chosen to Knighthood. I heard it’s soon. I didn’t mean to hear it was soon - - truly I was eavesdropping. I shouldn’t have been. But I did anyway. Anyway. . .thats all I know.”

There’s a bashful grin that comes to Anakin’s face. Before he subdues it’s to reconcile with his more stoic look he gives so often.

“It’s nothing Master. I’ve just heard. . .rumors. That’s all.”
