Hey artists! Have you checked how easy it would be for a client to contact you? Do you have an email in your bio? On your website? On your portfolio page?
Don't assume people will spend time digging for info. There are artists out there who are just as good as you AND have their info listed.

I've also turned off the individual options for writing suggestions, smart replies etc.
Can I guarantee that any of this stops Google from training gAI on my emails? No. But would a little tick do it? Doubt it.

Will keep an eye on the suit but this also sounds like more about data privacy/use in general. Features like email categories would've always used machine learning long before gAI and thus would've scanned your emails.
Gmail has never been the safest option. Just a convenient/popular one.

I had that too! I've turned off all Google assistant nonsense on my phone.

Also a sidenote for Alderdoodle clients - I switched Alderdoodle emails to Proton Mail a few months ago so they're nice and secure and private 👍

I've had the workspace smart features turned off for weeks now and while the Gemini icon is still there, if I click on it it asks if I want to try it out or sign up (no I fuckin don't.)

- it's ✨workspace smart features✨ you need to turn off so it doesn't fuck up your inbox folders and other actually useful features
- don't use AI to write your emails
- don't follow advice from strangers on the internet without checking their sources/expertise first
