The PPC materials are an absolute gold mine to any programmer interested in performance. I have returned to review them several times since taking the course in 2018!

I don't see anything obvious to date the game within the past decade. But the asset fidelity is higher than a 20-year-old game would have and the UI has a more modern style, perhaps enabled by higher resolutions.
It's an indie game made by a small team. The selling point must be the game mechanics.
