Judge orders federal officers at Portland’s ICE building to greatly restrict the use of tear gas Residents of a nearby apartment building had sued over the use of tear gas against protesters. Another federal judge is expected to rule by Monday on a similar lawsuit brought by protesters.

Between Oregon prohibiting ICE from wearing masks, the 1.25% for wildlife, and the tear gas ban at Portland's ICE facility - we are grateful for some seriously needed good news.

Oregon lawmakers approve measure to prohibit ICE agents from wearing masks House Bill 4138 would require officers to clearly display their name or identifying number, their agency and their badge. The bill also limits the use of facial coverings that conceal a person’s identity, with a few exceptions.

Oregon state Democratic lawmakers approved a measure on Thursday that would prevent federal immigration officers from wearing masks. The measure is a response to the Trump administration’s nationwide deportation efforts.

It looks like the judge is going to let petitioners go forth and collect signatures for an initiative to divert 25 percent of PCEF to police hiring. Judge Eric L. Dahlin is currently making his ruling.

Oral arguments are beginning for the challenge against the initiative petition to divert 25% of Portland Clean Energy Fund income to public safety/police hiring. Challengers argue the petition, which is supported by the Portland Police Association, violates the state constitution.
